Dear Pastors & Youth/College Leaders,
On behalf of the Youth Initiative [YI] & College Initiative [CI], we want to welcome you to join us at the YI & CI Student Leadership Conference 2013. This year, the conference will be held at Emory University in Atlanta, GA from July 22nd – 26th. We know that every church has a busy schedule but we want to especially ask and invite you to take some time and invest in raising the next generation leaders of the Korean United Methodist Church. We hope that God will bless all the leaders of the next generation and through your prayers and support that this conference will be built for God’s Kingdom.
This is our second year that the YI and CI Conferences will be having a joint conference with the theme Rooted in Love. We have gotten a great experience of worshiping and building a network within our churches. We were excited, and again excited for this year’s conference, to see what God will continue to do with the next generation of student leaders. Our goal is to mobilize and equip student leaders with both spiritual and practical knowledge to not only survive, but also thrive in today’s world. We hope to inspire the young leaders to rediscover how God is calling them to contribute to the church and to the society within their local contexts.
Because the conference brings student leaders from around the nation, they come and experience great diversity, inspire each other and realize they are not the only ones struggling with leadership or spiritual issues. The Spirit guides and leads them to bring the walls down; and above all else, the Spirit reminds and brings the leaders together as one body of Jesus Christ. The experience of this style of conference allows student leaders to develop a sense of new leadership challenges, and sense of unity, with strong encouragement for them to go back to their local churches and develop the Kingdom of God within their local areas.
It is our dearest desire that you may come join us this year. We are already honored to be serving together with you in the body of Jesus Christ in whichever decision you may choose. We ask for your continual support and prayers for this conference. If you have any additional questions, please contact Gloria Kim, YI program director, at 678-925-3415 orgloshin@gmail.com, or Daniel Cho, CI program director, at646-808-6336 or dicex327@gmail.com. We look forward to meeting your youth and college student leaders in HOTlanta! Thank you once again for your time! Many blessings to you and to your ministries!
