Dear Beloved Sisters and Brothers in Christ;
The Office of Connectional Ministries of the New York Annual Conference wishes you joy and peace during this season of Thanksgiving. As 1 Corinthians 3:9 reminds us, “For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.”
We give thanks to God for all you do to his glory in building his Kingdom and in shepherding his flocks.
Second Corinthians 9: 11-12 tells us that “You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”
May this season be a blessing to you and yours. This year the United Methodist church celebrates Giving Tuesday on Dec. 2, 2014. Bishop Lyght has encouraged us to give genreously to The Advance #982450 International Disaster Response as a part of our response in the midst of the ebola health crisis.
