2013 ‘Revival’ Praise Night for Youth in long Island
Date : Feb. 21-23. 2013. 7:00 PM
Speaker : Paul Suh (Missionary)
When he arrived to the United States in 1972, he experienced great cultural shock not only because the American culture was very different from the Latin culture, but also because it was the very first time he came into contact with a large Asian community. Before arriving to the U.S.,
Rev. Paul considered his image to be the only characteristic that associated him with being Korean. However, realizing that he did not fit in both linguistically and culturally only made him more confused about his identity. Searching for his identity, Rev. Paul found himself at the foot of God pleading for meaning and purpose for his life. Upon his first intimate encounter with God, Rev. Paul committed his life for Christ’s mission and the growth of His kingdom. Utilizing the knowledge, culture and language of Latin America, he gave his life to serve the Lord in those countries. Since then, God has opened the road to Mexico where the Lord planted seven churches through Rev. Paul. God continues to pave the road throughout Mexico which recently has been expanding to other Latin American countries.
