소망니까라구아 후원자 여러분께,
주님의 이름으로 문안 드립니다. 전구선교사의 아내 한 미경 선교사 입니다. 전구선교사가 옥에 감금되어져 있는지난 50여일동안 계속 사랑의 기도와 관심을 보여주시는 여러분께 감사, 또 감사 드립니다.
전구 선교사는 여러분들의 기도 덕분에 열약한 환경속에서도 건강히 긍정적으로 지내고 있습니다. 여태껏 아프지 않아서 감사하고, 영적으로 우리 하나님 아버지와 더 귀한 시간을 보내고 있어서 감사하고, 많은 교회와 동역자들과 가족과 친구들이 세계 곳곳에서 기도해 주어서 감사하고, 니까라구아 현지 선교사님들이 하루도 빠지지 않고 본인이 옥에 갇힌 후로 함께모여 매일 예배를 드리고 있음에 감사하고 있습니다. 이 힘든 기간을 통해 본인이 지난 53년동안 알았던 하나님을 더욱 더 친밀히 알아가고 있고, 영적 회개, 영적 수술, 영적 회복, 영적 은혜, 영적 은사를 체험하고 있다고 합니다. 본인에게는 오히려 너무나 소중한 시간이라고 합니다.
한가지 걱정되는 점은 여러분들이 열심히 기도해 오신 빠른 석방이 아직 이루어지지 않아 혹시라도 낙심하고 지치시는 분이 계실까 하는 부분입니다. 부탁 드리기는 소망과 기쁨 속에서 주의 종을 위해 계속 간구해 주시면 하나님께서 분명히 그를 구원해 주시리라 믿습니다.
전구선교사가14살 때 목회자가 되어 평생 주님을 섬기겠다고 주님께 약속했을 때 주신 말씀이 시편 27편 3-4장 말씀이였는데, 그 말씀을 하나님께서 옥에서 기억나게 하시고 그 말씀을 붙들게 하신다고 합니다.
“군대가 나를 대적하여 진 칠지라도 내 마음이 두렵지 아니하며 전쟁이 일어나 나를 치려 할지라도 나는 여전히 태연하리로다. 내가 여호와께 바라는 한 가지 일 그것을 구하리니 곧 내가 내 평생에 여호와의 집에 살면서 여호와의 아름다움을 바라보며 그의 성전에서 사모하는 그것이라.” (시 27:3-4 개역개정)
5월 7일에 있을 재판을 위해 계속 기도를 부탁드립니다. 특히 저와 아이들이 하나님의 오른 손에서 굳건히 강하게 잘 견디고, 계속해서 전구선교사가 영적으로 주님의 능력을 힘입어 소망과 기쁨 속에서 지내고, 육으로 계속 건강하며, 정신적으로 지치지 않도록 기도해 주시기를 부탁 드립니다. 분명 이 싸움은 하나님의 싸움이요 하나님께서 승리를 우리에게 주시리라 믿습니다.
함께 울부짖으며 전구선교사를 위해 간구할때 우리 하나님의 이름이 더욱 더 높아지시며, 홀로 영광 받으시는 크신 역사가 있으리라 믿습니다. 이 일로 인해 오히려 우리 모두가 주님의 크신 사랑과 은혜를 듬쁙 체험하는 귀한 시간이 되었으면 합니다. 다시한번 진심으로 감사드립니다.

Dear Supporters of Hope Nicaragua,
Greetings in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. This is Jennifer Jun, Missionary Matthew Jun’s wife. Thank you for your prayers for the past 50 days of Matthew’s captivity.
Despite poor conditions, Missionary Matthew is staying positive, faithful and healthy. He’s thankful that he has not been physically sick and is grateful for the precious time spent with his Father in Heaven. He is also thankful for all the brothers and sisters in Christ coming together to pray for him and especially for all the missionaries in Nicaragua who have been worshiping at Matthew’s home every night since his captivity. Through this trial, Matthew is so thankful for getting to know our God more intimately and in different ways than he had ever known. He is experiencing a spiritual repentance, spiritual operation, spiritual renewal, spiritual grace and spiritual gift that he has never experienced nor known before.
Matthew’s one concern is that some of you may become dismayed and tired because your prayers have not been answered at this time. He would like you to continue to pray with hope and joy, knowing that God will indeed deliver His servant, Matthew.
Matthew committed himself to become God’s servant as a pastor when he was 14 years old. At that time of commitment, God had given him Psalm 27: 3-4 verses. God has again been showing these verses to him in the jail and reminding Matthew of his first love.
“Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” [Psalm 27: 3-4 NIV]
Please continue to pray for the May 7th trial, for God’s right hand to hold our children and myself strongly and faithfully, for Matthew’s continued good health, for hope and joy in his heart and not to become afraid or dismayed. We firmly believe this is God’s battle and that He will deliver the victory to us soon.
May our Lord receive all the glory and honor as all of us come together on our knees to cry out to our Father for our brother, Matthew Jun. Thank you so very much!
